Bruce Willis\u2019 daughter Rumer Willis has opened up about the ongoing difficulties dealing with her father\u2019s condition.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bruce Willis<\/a> has been one of the most reliable action stars for decades, but the actor took a step back from his career in 2022 due to health<\/a> reasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He and his family later announced that he had been diagnosed with the language impairment disorder aphasia<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The following year, the actor\u2019s family stated he had been given a diagnosis of dementia<\/a>, more specifically frontotemporal degeneration (FTD).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FTD impacts the lobes of the brain behind the forehead, with symptoms including personality changes, obsessive behavior, and speaking difficulties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your risk of getting frontotemporal dementia is higher if you have a family history of dementia. There are no other known risk factors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Willis\u2019 eldest child Rumer issued a heartfelt post about her dad for Father\u2019s Day on June 15, while also noting the regrets she has as well as what she is thankful for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rumer posted a heartfelt message about the struggles with her father now (Rumer Willis)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She wrote on Instagram<\/a>: \u201cToday is hard, I feel a deep ache in my chest to talk to you and tell you everything I\u2019m doing and what\u2019s going on in my life. To hug you and ask you about life and your stories and struggles and successes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI wish I asked you more questions while you could still tell me about it all. But I know you wouldn\u2019t want me to be sad today so I\u2019ll try to just be grateful reminding myself how lucky I am that you\u2019re my dad and that you\u2019re still with me and I can still hold you and hug you and kiss your cheek and rub your head, I can tell you stories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sending love to all those who are in the boat with me or have lost their fathers, to the single moms who are the dads too, to my future baby daddy\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As well as the sweet message, Rumer also shared images of her and Bruce over the years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
