The gunman accused of shooting two Democratic lawmakers<\/a> in Minnesota<\/a> has been taken into custody after making a fatal error.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vance Boelter, 57, was arrested late Sunday night for the murders of Democratic State Representative Melissa Hortman and her husband, and the attempted murder of Democratic State Senator John Hoffman<\/a> and his wife. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The suspect had been on the run for nearly two full days when he was caught – after he was seen passing a trail camera in a rural town in Sibley County, according to the Minnesota Star Tribune. <\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Penn met with socialist Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez in 2007, in Caracas, when he was considered a villain by the Bush administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2008, President Raul Castro of Cuba granted him his first interview with a non-Cuban and at one point, he met Fidel Castro while on a trip to Havana. He also visited Iraq in 2002 and Iran in 2005.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2016, he shocked the world, admitting to have met and interviewed Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzm\u00e1n<\/a>.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maher was actually seeking the left-wing actor’s approval for his dinner with Trump: ‘But you do, I hope, think I did the right thing to have dinner with him<\/a>.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Penn (pictured) stunned the comedian on his Club Random podcast when he said he would have not met with the president as Maher did in April<\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘Most of the search had concluded then,’ Ramsey County Sheriff Bob Fletcher said. ‘But the trail cam picture alerted SWAT teams to go to the area, search a perimeter and with the help of drones, identify his location.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said Boelter tried to evade arrest for about an hour after, but eight SWAT teems crawled in ditches to corral him and ‘he eventually surrendered peaceably.’ <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Sibley County Sheriff’s Office also told Fox News<\/a> Boelter ‘verbally’ identified himself to authorities, and Lt. Jeremy Geiger, of the Minnesota State Patrol, said authorities did not have to use any force to detain Boelter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The suspect was then pictured being handcuffed, as Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office Bob Fletcher wrote that he is ‘the face of evil.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inside his vehicle, which was located earlier in the day<\/a> on Sunday, officers found three AK-47 assault rifles, a 9mm handgun and an apparent hit list containing the names and addresses of Democratic lawmakers, people with ties to Planned Parenthood and abortion clinics. It even includes one high-profile philanthropist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minnesota State Patrol, SWAT teams, and a US Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrived in a dozen or more vehicles including heavily armored trucks about 11am on Sunday<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The military-style convey traveled in armored vehicles with rooftop snipers, but as of 7pm, the fugitive was still at-large<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A further search of the area uncovered a ballistic vest, a disassembled 9mm handgun, a mask and a gold police badge, according to court documents. Authorities had also found a cowboy hot lying on the ground that was identical to one Boelter was wearing in CCTV images released by the FBI<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Boelter is now facing two murder charges as well as two attempted murder charges, and is also wanted on a federal warrant for ‘unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.’ <\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘After relentless and determined police work, the killer is now in custody,’ Sheriff Fletcher wrote on Facebook. ‘Thanks to the dedication of multiple agencies working together along with support from the community, justice is one step closer.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minnesota House Speaker Lisa Demuth also said she was ‘grateful that this nightmare has come to an end with the suspected murderer captured alive so he can be charged, prosecuted, and punished for the horror he has wrought on our state.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘Thank you to the brave men and women of local, state, and federal law enforcement who have worked around the clock to ensure this evil man faces justice.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just moments Boelter was captured, Sibley County officials issued a shelter in place warning, saying the suspected assassin was ‘spotted on foot… in military gear and armed.’<\/p>\n\n\n\n

State troopers equipped with rifles and full body armor were earlier seen going house to house searching yards, outbuildings and garages in the rural town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minnesota State Patrol, SWAT Teams and a US Marshals Fugitive Task Force were seen arriving in a dozen or more armored vehicles complete with rooftop snipers at around 11am Sunday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hundreds of other police set up a command post in Green Isle, near Boelter and his wife Jenny’s home, to coordinate the manhunt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By around 4pm, a four-door dark blue Buick Regal sedan was seen being removed from the search area on a flatbed truck. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
