There’s now less than three months before the next iPhone<\/a> is unveiled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But fans have a sneak peak of two options that could be available when the iPhone 17 hits the shelves in September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And according to the leaked image, Apple’s iconic product could look more eye-catching than ever. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On X (Twitter<\/a>), Apple tipster Majin Bu has posted an image showing the back of the iPhone 17 in two trendy pastel shades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two fresh colours, green and purple, are currently being considered as Apple puts the final touches to its upcoming product. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Majin Bu said in the tweet: ‘iPhone 17: Purple and Green Colors in Testing as Potential New Shade for 2025.’ <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two phones appear to be digital renders, not photographs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But their vertical lens arrangement corroborate other rumours<\/a> about what the finished product will look like.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr Bu \u2013 who has been sharing news about iPhone 17 for months<\/a> \u2013 detailed this latest leak further in a blog post<\/a> on his website. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘iPhone 17, set to launch in September 2025, is poised to captivate with its base models potentially featuring two new colors: Purple and Green, currently being tested by Apple,’ he said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘While both are under consideration, only one color might make the final cut, with expectations leaning toward Purple being the likely choice for release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Purple, the tipster continued, is ‘a vibrant and modern hue crafted for those seeking a device with bold personality’. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Green, meanwhile, is ‘anticipated to offer a fresh and natural tone, ideal for a minimalist yet striking aesthetic’.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fans seemed divided over the new colours in contention, with one calling them ‘good colours’ while another said the green is ‘feral’. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another XX user posted: ‘They should work on removing the camera bump instead of new colors.’ <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Someone else asked: ‘No new shade of blue this time????’ <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And it’s worth bearing in mind that the more expensive iPhone 17 Pro models will likely come in their own set of colours, one of which could be ‘sky blue’<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Majin Bu, thought to be a pseudonym, has a mixed track record when it comes to predicting developments at Apple. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last year, Bu posted a fake invite to last year’s iPhone 16 launch event<\/a>, which was actually mocked up by a 14-year-old video editor from Italy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

MailOnline has contacted Apple regarding the new rumour, although the tech giant is notoriously tight-lipped about any upcoming product. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, Apple fans shouldn’t have to wait too long before to find out the truth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apple’s iPhone 17 unveiling event is expected to be on Monday or Tuesday in the second week of September, broadcast live from Apple HQ in Cupertino, California. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event’s digital invite \u2013 potentially hinting at the iPhone 17’s design \u2013 will be sent out to members of the press and industry analysts in the weeks prior. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apple fans will reportedly have four models to choose from \u2013 the standard model, an ultra-thin iPhone 17 ‘Air’, and the more expensive iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

iPhone 17 Air, also referred to as ‘iPhone 17 Slim’, is expected to be a lighter, thinner option \u2013 rivalling the Galaxy Edge recently released by Samsung<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The standard iPhone 17 will have two camera lenses in a vertical alignment, one on top of the other.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But the other three options will have a rectangular camera bar across the back<\/a> \u2013 similar to Google’s Pixel phones. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It suggests Apple is needing more space on the back of the phone to pack in camera components for its high-end handsets. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
