Israel has promised to respond with ‘intense strikes’ after accusing Iran of violating the ceasefire.
The Israeli military has claimed that it has identified missiles, reportedly launched from Iran on Tuesday (24 June).
Despite an alleged ceasefire between the two countries, according to BBC, Israel’s defence minister has reportedly instructed the military to ‘respond forcefully to Iran’s violation of the ceasefire with intense strikes against regime targets in the heart of Tehran.’
However, the details surrounding the alleged strike are unclear, with Iranian state media claiming that Iran has denied reports that it fired a missile after the ceasefire had began.

Iran’s foreign minister, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, previously posted on X saying if Israel stops, Iran has ‘no intention to continue our response afterwards’.
“As Iran has repeatedly made clear: Israel launched war on Iran, not the other way around,” he said.
“As of now, there is NO ‘agreement’ on any ceasefire or cessation of military operations. However, provided that the Israeli regime stops its illegal aggression against the Iranian people no later than 4am Tehran time, we have no intention to continue our response afterwards.
“The final decision on the cessation of our military operations will be made later.”

The update comes after US President Donald Trump urged Iran and Israel not to ‘violate’ the ceasefire, which came into force today.
The US‘ commander-in-chief shared a post to Truth Social in the early hours of the morning announcing that an armistice between the two nations is now in action.
He wrote: “It has been fully agreed by and between Israel and Iran that there will be a Complete and Total CEASEFIRE (in approximately 6 hours from now, when Israel and Iran have wound down and completed their in progress, final missions!)”
He then followed it up with a warning to both countries, which read: “THE CEASEFIRE IS NOW IN EFFECT. PLEASE DO NOT VIOLATE IT!”

Trump later added: “Israel & Iran came to me, almost simultaneously, and said, ‘PEACE!’ I knew the time was NOW.
“The World, and the Middle East, are the real WINNERS! Both Nations will see tremendous LOVE, PEACE, AND PROSPERITY in their futures. They have so much to gain, and yet, so much to lose if they stray from the road of RIGHTEOUSNESS & TRUTH.
“The future for Israel & Iran is UNLIMITED, & filled with great PROMISE. GOD BLESS YOU BOTH!”
